Warning: Distressing content. A UK trucker killed a mother and her three children after crashing into them while changing music on his phone.
UK mother Tracy Houghton was driving her family home from a summer camping trip in Devon earlier this year.
In the car with her were her two sons, Josh and Ethan, and her step-daughter Aimee Goldsmith. Up ahead, a slow-moving articulated lorry caused traffic on the A34 in Berkshire, west of London, to come to a standstill.
The moment the truck ploughed into the back of the car – while the driver was checking his phone.
Behind them, 30-year-old truck driver Tomasz Kroker was careering towards them at 80kmh. He was changing music on his phone.
The driver was scrolling between music tracks on his phone.
Before he could stop in time, he smashed into the family’s car, killing all four of them instantly.
